“Dreamwaves” is an ongoing series of digital drawings that come from a meditative state of suspended reality. I sit and shut off the outside world while rendering these sometime strange ocean themed scenes. the series stems from a recurring dream where I find and ride perfect waves at my family cottage. it’s odd because the true location of the cottage won’t allow for ride-able waves to ever grace those shores. These dreams often leave me with a positive yet surreal feeling that I try to capture in this series of drawings.
My ongoing #idrawthemwaves series is often inspired by some of the amazing surf photographers out there. This specific piece came together after checking out the impressive feed of imagery from Adam Cornick, and this photograph in particular. Go check his full portfolio of work.
If interested, this drawing is available in various print formats in the shop
All Together Now is an abstract piece in an ongoing collection. Prints and other products available in the shop.
Prints are now available in the Shop!
I vividly remember the cuckoo clock at my grandparents house. such fond memories of the anticipation for the bird to pop out of that miniature door.
even to this day i still get drawn in to explore the tiny details up close any time I see one.
@craftalibi alibi shares the same fascination with these clocks and recently she drew a few of her own clock concepts which I have used to make a mini series of line work called “kooky clocks”. she won’t agree, but I think her sketches are so fun that they deserve there own printed treatment. Will have to work on that!
My good pals at N-Product had a storefront/workspace/event space in Ottawa, ON called Division.
Dom and Chrys kindly asked me to work on a window design for their shop, using my symetrical line work style. The final design was installed on the front windows of their location in Hintonburg.
I used the same artwork and released a small collection of t-shirts, poster prints, stickers, and pins.
Unfortunately, they had to close the doors at the shop, but I am sure we have not heard the last of Division, stay tuned.
Hard to say was the third label with Stone City Ales. For this label I wanted to incorporate some of the modern line work that I had been experimenting with at the time. The end result ended up on a run of this tasty brew.
