Carla and Lynette Gillis have been making music together for years. Before Overnight, they were members of the Halifax indie rock band Plumtree, as well as other projects including Bells Clanging and The Lord Almightys and more i believe.
“Put Me In Your Light” is a fantastic record that pulls you in from the very first song and sets the tone for what's to come. Big guitar riffs, beautiful harmonies and catchy melodies, but there's also a more personal side to the songs. There's a real mix of melancholy, loss and reflection, balanced with a sense of optimism and moving forward.
Really great record from start to finish. 100% recommended. Give it a listen!
